Planned Giving

What will you pass down to future generations?  Your support of JCA through a will, insurance policy or other planned giving instrument could enable us to provide companionship and caregiver support, transportation, new jobs, intergenerational activities and more for generations to come.

It is JCA’s pride and honor to establish prominent and enduring naming opportunities for leadership gifts to The JCA Compassion Funds (our named endowments), annual fund and special campaign.  And we are proud to be a pioneer member of the Create a Jewish Legacy Campaign which not only supports those in need but also builds a network to inspire a love of Jewish life and culture.

Please Email or call us at 301.255.4231 or 703.652.1511 for information or to arrange a donation.

Gifts Honoring or Memorializing

A family member or friend may be honored or memorialized with a gift in his or her name to JCA.

  • A contribution can be made to our general operating fund in honor of or in memory of a family member or friend.  JCA will send an acknowledge receipt of the gift  to the individual and/or family, as directed.

  • A fund or endowment can be established in honor of or in memory of a family member or friend.

Please Email or call us at 301.255.4231 or 703.652.1511 to arrange a gift in a loved one's name.

Transferring Securities

Many donors find that transferring stock as a means of making a charitable donation is extremely beneficial in minimizing related tax obligations. It is easy and convenient to make such a gift to JCA. Email the JCA Development office or call  301.255.4231 or 703.652.1511 for JCA’s account number and tracking number to facilitate making such a transfer.

Employer Matching Gifts

Many companies encourage their employees’ charitable giving by matching their gifts either in full or part. Please check with your company’s human resources office to determine its policy on such gifts and to acquire the appropriate forms and guidelines.

Generally, your company will ask JCA to confirm your contribution and once done it will then match the gift. This is a wonderful opportunity to have your giving go twice as far.

Vehicle Donations

new Car J

JCA has joined with the Jewish Foundation for Group Homes and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington to partner on a joint car donation program known as "Car-J". Car-J will increase efficiency, as well as simplify the process for those looking to donate a vehicle and support multiple charities! For more information on how to donate your vehicle, please contact Micki Gordon.
