Senior HelpLine

This FREE service, together with Caring from a Distance (a program partner), relies on our  database of 4,000 providers across the Greater Washington DC metro area to suggest options and ideas to help seniors age well and wisely.

Through this database, one can e
xplore JCA's plethora of publications, frequently asked questions (and answers) and links to senior-related community resources.  Through these features, older adults, their families and their caregivers can often make better decisions about aging-related issues and concerns.

When someone's needs are more complex and require more information, Senior HelpLine GOLD Specialists are available for personal consultations at low cost.  (See below for more details.)

Senior HelpLine GOLD Specialists

Sometimes a question is just too complex to answer in a few minutes, or web site searches and written materials may be too "generic."  Personal guidance and coaching may be needed to clarify and prioritize concerns and to help frame questions for prospective providers.  That is why, after decades of serving local seniors, JCA created Senior HelpLine GOLD.

GOLD offers personalized consultations (in person, through the telephone and/or Internet) for complex needs and conversations, at a low cost (generally $125/hour).  For challenges that are short-term or event-driven, GOLD can be a great investment.

Senior HelpLine GOLD responders (who are also certified Information & Referral Specialists) will explore this service with you if your needs exceed the general services Senior HelpLine provides.
