The October 9 issue of Washington Jewish Week carried a front-page story entitled “Economic Woes.” JCA programs, especially our employment services, feature prominently. Access the story.
In addition, the print edition ran a large photo of a JCA ElderBus and its passengers. They captioned the photo with this: “A passenger is helped off an ElderBus, run by the Jewish Council for the Aging™ of Greater Washington. JCA is one of many local nonprofits that may see needs rise and resources go down due to the current economic problems.” The print edition of this issue also features a colorful, new JCA ad, this in a special pull-out section on charitable giving.
On Sunday, October 5, The Washington Post’s Metro Section reported on JCA senior employment services and included a photo of JCA client Joe Saunders. Although the reporter got David Gamse's name wrong, she got everything else right and that has resulted in a slew of client calls and a lot of media interest. Access the story.
